Elliot Cartee

Teaching

• Starting September 2026, I will be a Lecturer in the School of Engineering Mathematics and Technology at the University of Bristol.
• Previously, I taught in the Department of Mathematics at Texas A&M University, where I also ran Hands-on, Grades Up (HOGU) sessions in the Math Learning Center, and created a series of linear algebra videos for the Virtual Math Learning Center.
• I have taught a variety of math classes at Cornell University, the University of Chicago, and Texas A&M University.

Research

My research interests include numerical analysis, PDEs, optimal control theory, and mean field games. Past projects include modeling pedestrian flows, surveillance-evasion games, and environmental crime.
